  We were very happy with the efficient services provided with Going Home Cremation Services. They handled the paperwork well.I felt very comfortable and highly recommend them.

  If I could offer zero stars, I would. This business should be out of business. They do not follow the Maryland Laws. A boyfriend to my mother, who had passed, had made prior arrangements with this funeral home prior to her passing. My mother passed on a Saturday and on Monday my wife called to ask about fingerprint jewelry. We later were told the staff could not speak to us due to the boyfriend having power of attorney. Maryland Law states power of attorney is null and void once said person passes. Maryland Law states if no spouse then next of kin has the rights. Going Home NEVER adhered to these laws and refused conversation with anyone other than the boyfriend. In a time where my family and I should have been able to grieve, we had to call the board of morticians regarding this terrible business, retain a lawyer and file for an emergency hearing for Going Home to adhere to Maryland Laws. They treated the family with zero compassion, empathy or sympathy nor cared that the blood family was not in agreement with how things were being handled. The Going Home mortician and lady who answers the phone (who never revealed her name) told us they weren't going to get involved in our family dispute, that they had nothing stating they had to stop any proceedings, offered zero assistance and that our lawyer who reached out to them meant nothing. We finally were able to relocate my mothers body, Wednesday, to another crematory who showed compassion, empathy and sympathy for my grieving family only after Going Home tried holding her body ransom for some type of payment. We do not owe Going Home a dollar seeing as how we never had a contract with them nor would they even communicate with us because we weren't the power of attorney which is null and void. I filed a complaint through the morticians board and will be filing a complaint through BBB. Do not use this business. They are law breakers and heartless people!!
